A fast night at sea

With the main at reef 1, we furled part of the jib late in the night to slow ourselves down a bit - ride quality was getting a bit uncomfortable in the lumpy seas, but we still boogied along at 6 to 8 kts SOG. The wind flaked a bit this morning and now is a bit lighter, and the seas have calmed considerably so we’re moving along quite nicely with full main and jib, anywhere from 5 - 7 knots as the wind waxes and wanes. Crew is getting into the groove, much better rested and JollyDogs is in her element. We’re looking forward to seeing the Socorros as we pass through the islands this afternoon. All is well!
