And the concept
of a perpetual motion machine just escaped us. . .
Nuts. Wind pooped out just like the daggum forecast predicted. Around 1830 UTC (1130 Pacific ship’s time) we stowed the main and screecher and began motoring single engine. Apparent wind is too low to motor sail, so we’re now chugging along at a bit over 6 knots SOG thanks to a bit of a current on the stern.
